Places to see, things to do
Casa Lola is located on the brow of a rolling hill with glorious views of the mountains and countryside.
The villa is located close to the Sibillini National Park, designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Located above a valley the house looks down onto a lovely lake and has 360 degree views of our quite stunning scenery.
A brisk 40 walk down takes you down to the lake with 2 delightful restaurants to choose from (you need a car to get you home though) which has great fun boating (kayaks and pedalos) and lots of green space to kick a football around.
There is also a charming track into the deer park and mountain bikes to be rented.
There are many beautiful ancient hill-top towns and villages close by with wonderful cafes and restaurants to enjoy and to savour that delicious cup of coffee and cake - such as Monte San Martino, Amandola, Sarnarno, Gualdo, Monte Falcone and many more.
There are 2 excellent clay tennis courts in Amandola at the club, the coach will teach small children as well as bigger folk!
A riding school is located close by in our valley, a spa centre at Sarnarno and fabulous attractions such as Frasacci caves and Assisi are a great day trip away.
There is so much to do if you want more from your holiday other than sitting by the pool.
Walking in the mountains is exceptional, with refuges and walking clubs to hand if you like to do the more robust excursions under the wing of a professional guide. With mountain biking and fresh water lakes at your fingertips as well as winter skiing, this part of Le Marche is versatile and a visual delight.
Many medieval hill top towns and villages dot the wonderful landscape and although not as rich in art as Tuscany there are many wonderful galleries and cities to be explored such as Ascoli Piceno. The walking is spectacular and local cuisine delicious. The 360 degree views from the house are amazing with distant sea views to the East & The magnificent Sibillini mountains to the West.
Several very good restaurants and pizzerias are well located just a short drive from Casa Lola. All are child-friendly and serve their own versions of Le Marche's delicious regional cusine. We can help with bookings if required.
Be sure to take advantage of some of the local outdoor activities, including:

Ready for more cosmopolitan comforts? Visit Ascoli Piceno the capital city of the region.
Wonderful Medieval buildings and squares make this very unspoilt city a joy.
The Cafe Meletti is a must in the main square.
Macerata a 50 min drive from Casa Lola is a beautiful university town hosting some wonderful Al Fresco opera in July and August in the ancient ampitheatre. Also a must as some of the smaller towns closer to home such as San Ginesio, Sarnarno and Servilliano.
Typical delights of local activities and attractions are:
- Historic hill-top towns
- Restaurants, bars and gelaterias
- Theatres & Italian cinema, Opera at Macerata in August
